Anchovies withdrawn from sale because of Histamine levels

The Superintendence of Public Health has said that as a precautionary measure the following product is not to be consumed because of a level of Histamine that exceeds permitted limits established in Commission Regulation (EC) No 2073/2005 of 15 November 2005 on microbiological criteria for foodstuffs, as amended by Commission Regulation 1441 of 2007.

The Company involved was ordered to withdraw the involved batch from the market, but since the product was completely sold to consumers, the Directorate is obliged to inform consumers of this recall.
