On Wednesday the post-secondary student group, ‘Students’ Voice’ kicked off a series of discussions entitled ‘Voice your Thoughts!’ These are aimed at engaging students in discussion and debate, as well as offering them the opportunity to get to know several personalities coming from different walks of life.

The first discussion was centered around University lecturer and Maltese language Professor Manwel Mifsud. Held at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and the Arts, the event allowed students to openly discuss the past, present and future prospects of the Maltese language with Prof. Mifsud.

‘Students’ Voice’ is an independent student organisation founded in 2011, aimed at representing Gozitan students attending post-secondary institutions, as well as offering them several opportunities to make their opinions heard. During his introductory speech, ‘Students’ Voice’ President Joseph Masini announced that the group will also be kicking off formal discussions with Maltese counterparts, aiming to provide new opportunities for Gozitan post-secondary students.

Meanwhile, the next discussion being planned by the group is going to be held on Wednesday, the 2nd of May, 2012 and will have UN Ambassador for Climate Change Dr Simone Borg as its protagonist. Further information on this discussion will be announced in the coming future.
