For the third consecutive time, the JP2 Foundation is organising the international collective art exhibition ‘GENTES.’

The exhibition is being held as part of the JP2 Memorial Festival 2012 and the Lejlet Lapsi – Notte Gozitana 2012 taking place in Victoria over next weekend.

Held for the first time in 2009, and later on in 2010, every edition incorporated seventy five art pieces by fifteen different artists (five from each state); the first edition hosted artists from Gozo, Southern France and Sicily, while the second edition hosted artists from Malta, Northern Italy and Armenia.

Its principal aim is to manifest cultural diversity and unite different peoples through artistic expression. This unique exhibition is part of the annual cultural festival in honour of the Blessed John Paul II. This year’s JP2 Memorial Festival is the sixth edition.

The inauguration of the exhibition by the Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, will take place on Saturday, the 12th of May 2012 and it will remain open to the public until Sunday, the 27th of May 2012.

The exhibition is being held at the Cittadella Centre for Culture and the Arts, Victoria.
