The run-up to the feast of the Ascension of Our Lord, known as Lapsi, is being celebrated in Gozo this weekend with the sixth edition of Lejlet Lapsi – Notte Gozitana, organised by the Ministry for Gozo.

To start the weekend off with a bang a Soundtracks Spectacular is being held on St Francis Square, Victoria, with music, dance and film by the Gozo Youth Orchestra and the Moveo Dance Company with the participation of professional Maltese and Italian dancers.

Gozo Channel Company will be offering free return crossings between Gozo and Malta for foot passengers from midnight on Saturday, the 19th of May, to midnight on Sunday, the 20th of May. This offer does not apply for vehicles.
