The Ministry for Justice, Public Dialogue and Family has announced that as from tomorrow, Wednesday the 30th May of 2012 onwards, the Department of Social Security, in collaboration with the Xaghra Local Council, will start offering customer care service at the Xaghra Local Council’s administrative offices.

The service offered at the Xaghra Local Council will be the first one of its type being offered in Gozo.

The Ministry said that this service will continue to strengthen the services which this Department offers from various Local Councils in Malta, among them Gudja, Attard and Mellieha.

Through this service, all Gozitan residents will be able go to the Xaghra Local Council to:

§ Apply for any social security benefits;

§ Report changes in circumstances;

§ Apply for or renew the pink card;

§ Submit medical certificates and

§ Request any information related to social security.

This service will be offered every Wednesday between 8am and noon.
