On the occasion of the feast of St Peter and St Paul being celebrated in Nadur this week, more then sixty old statues of St Peter and St Paul, some of which date back as far as 1840, are being exhibited at the Nadur Local Council in ‘Joe Tabone Hall,’ North street Nadur.Organised by Nadur Council and the Nadur Parish, this exhibition is the third one in the series of exhibitions named ‘Nadurjana.’ It was opened last week by the Nadur Mayor, Charles F. Said and was blessed by Nadur Archipriest Mons. Jimmy Scerri Ph.L. as part of the opening of the Nadur festa celebrations better known as ‘L-Imnarja.’

A commemorative card, the 3rd in the series, was issued for this special event.

Entrance to the exhibition, which will remain open until Friday the 29th of June, is free and everyone is invited to visit and appriciate the glory of these old statues which all belong to private family collectors from Nadur.
