A Gozo News reader has sent in this photograph showing part of the Qala Square refurbishment project which is being carried out by the Qala Local Council.
The reader complained vehemently that “two of the existing palm trees have been destroyed and removed,” and said that “these acts, whatever the reasons for them, are absolutely shameful.”
What they should have removed is that new pavement they are placing that makes a person dizzy when you look at it
Qala square was charming….why do some people believe progress means tearing up something so quaint? ….
What a shame. The new paving is hideous. Gozo must be careful not to lose its charm.
