Cash prizes totaling €3,000 are being made available to BOV Cardholders through the BOV Cards Travel Promotion that will run up to the 16th September 2012.

Every transaction by a BOV Cardholder with a minimum value of €25 made while traveling abroad entitles them to an automatic stake in a lottery that gives out a weekly prize of €500 during the six weeks of the promotion.

“This exciting BOV Cards travel promotion that we are launching today gives BOV cardholders the opportunity to win cash prizes while taking advantage of the convenience that BOV’s range of cards provide,” said John Pace, Executive Head, Cards Business at Bank of Valletta. He explained that BOV Cards are accepted at the extensive Visa and MasterCard acquiring networks worldwide.

“BOV Credit and Debit cards facilitate straightforward and efficient payments transactions both in Malta and also abroad. Apart from substituting the need to carry large amounts of cash, BOV Credit Cards offer additional protection if goods purchased are lost, damaged, or stolen,” said Mr. Pace.

Amongst the benefits of using BOV Credit Cards is the interest free period which can run up to 55 days (depending on when the purchases are made). Furthermore, if the balance on the credit card statement is paid in full within 25 days of the statement date, no interest will be incurred.

BOV Cashlink Visa and BOV Cashlink Visa Electron – on the other hand, give customers direct access to funds in their BOV accounts, both when in Malta or abroad.

A customer is only eligible to win one cash prize and the prizes are deposited in the account of the winning card. Each winner will be contacted by Bank of Valletta and must answer a skill-based question to win the prize.

The cards eligible for this promotion include BOV Visa Platinum, BOV Visa Gold, BOV Visa Flypass, BOV Visa Classic, BOV MasterCard, BOV Cashlink Visa and BOV Cashlink Visa Electron.
