The first part of a ‘Symphony of Lights’ was held over the weekend, organised by the Santa Lucija Administrative Committee.

On Sunday, the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, a ‘Fjakkolata,’ traditional fire illumination, took place on Ghar Ilma Hill, limits of Santa Lucija, Kercem, .

The hamlet of Santa Lucija will also host an open air concert by the Gozo Youth Wind Band and soprano Christabel Formosa. This will take place next Saturday, the 20th of October at 7.30pm.

A lights spectacle and a fireworks display will enrich this unique event in one of the oldest Gozitan hamlets.

‘Symphony of Lights’ is being organised for the second year running and is being co-financed by the Department for Local Government as part of Government’s initiative to strengthen the cultural identity of our localities and boost tourism during what are considered the lean months.

Entrance to all events is free of charge.
