Four protected Greater Flamingos, which appear to be an adult and three juvenile birds, landed in the salt pans at Salina this afternoon. BirdLife Malta said that its team immediately alerted the ALE and is preparing a night watch to guard the birds
Birdlife hopes to prevent them from suffering the same fate as the two injured juvenile flamingos that sought refuge in the slat pans earlier this month.

Ban hunting/poaching on these islands once and for all. If ‘grown men’ can’t even control themselves not to shoot protected birds then what else can they not control themselves to do? Abuse their wives and daughters? Road rage? Neighbour bashing? Read the papers, the list is endless.
Shame on those hunters that shoot on any Birds, Those men that shoot these wild Birds should go to Jail ,because they are not fit ,or able , to control themselfs, whether at their home , or outside on the Street .. They never were taught or told , how to respect Nature . I call people like that IDIOTS … Because they do not know any Better ,but acting Stupid …… PS.. They probable go to Sunday Mass to pray to God ,after they do the Killings . What a NERVE They must have …………Shame on you all .Do you think you deserve to see God in Heaven ???? Tessie
