A promotion on health awareness and the fight against obesity took place this morning in Republic Street, Victoria. The event attracted large crowds of all ages to the stands.

There were several companies present, promoting and demonstrating exercise equipment, health foods and drinks. Talks were also given on fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Employees of the Health Promotion Section of the Gozo General Hospital were on hand to provide free blood pressure checks and blood glucose testing.
