Michael Briguglio, Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party Chairperson, said this morning, “we express our condolences to families and friends of the victims of the fireworks accident in Gozo. AD sincerely hopes that this will lead to strong commitment to ensure enforcement of regulations so as to ensure maximum safety.
“In this regard we support Labour MP Anton Refalo’s call for the banning of fireworks if necessary, and we call for other MPs to stand up to be counted on this issue.
“Government has to date failed to implement the main recommendations of the fireworks report it had commissioned. Until this is done, there should be an immediate moratorium on fireworks,” Michael Briguglio concluded.
There is no Safety by playing with FIRE , No matter how much regulations you put into LAW . And no matter how much SKILL the person might have, that is making it . He still playing with FIRE….
