Finance Minister Tonio Fenech announced on television this evening that the date for the budget will be Wednesday the 28th of November, when it will be presented in Parliament.

There had been much speculation over the date, with the Government saying that it would be towards the end of November, but had not given specific details.

The Opposition Leader, Dr Joseph Muscat said on Sunday that the Government “was creating instability by not even mentioning the date when the budget was to be presented.”
