President Fenech Adami & Mrs Fenech Adami visit Gozo

President Fenech Adami and Mrs Fenech Adami, started a two day visit to Gozo yesterday. At the village of Zebbug they met up with thirteen voluntary associations where the President praised their efforts for contributing towards a more active community life.
The President said that due to their contributions in various fields such as sports, religion and culture they are reinforcing catholic values, which are the roots of the Maltese identity. ?Voluntary associations in Zebbug, together with the local council contribute towards a more vivid community life? the President added.
The President together with his wife, also met up with Zebbug residents and joined in the ceremony in the village square, together with Archpriest Ruben Micallef, where the traditional blessing of pets and animals took place.
The programme of events also included visits to Qbajjar to watch children sailing and Mrs Fenech Adami visited several local families. Other visits included the nearby salt pans, and then on to meet with the local community at Marsalforn.
