The Health and Safety Department at Sir M. A. Refalo Centre for Further Studies, the only post-secondary school in Gozo, recently organised another educational talk during its complementary-curricular activities.

The Health and Safety teachers, Mr Andrew Dimech and Mr Charles Daniel Saliba, invited Superintendent Martin Bayliss, Head of Traffic Section of the Malta Police Force, to speak about road safety.

Mr Bayliss addressed issues such as drinking and driving, road regulations and traffic signs, the new licence point system and tips to avoid traffic accidents. He showed videos related to these themes which served as eye-openers to the young adults, most of whom will apply for their car licence next year.

On the 11th of December, the Health and Safety Department will host two talks, one for parents and one for student, on Internet safety. Both speeches will be delivered by Ms Svetlana Camilleri, of the Appogg agency.

The talk for parents will be in Room 21 at 9.30am at Sir M. A. Refalo Centre, Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria, Gozo.
