The Health Awareness Committee within the Gozo General Hospital will be holding a Health Awareness Day at the Duke Commercial Centre on Thursday, the 13th of December, 2012 (a Public Holiday) at 9am.

Professional staff will be offering Body Mass Index (BMI) measurements, blood pressure readings, blood glucose testing and advice on proper foot care.

The Community Chest Fund will be present to accept donations in aid of L-iStrina 2012.

This year for the first time a ‘Team of the Year’ award was launched and presented to the Committee for Safeguarding Health Care within the Gozo General Hospital. Throughout the year, this team, organised various external activities to promote good health, including these Health Awareness Days and many of the team offered their services outside their normal normal working hours.

Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend.
