The 21st edition of the annual international celebration for Christmas is being held at St Joseph Parish Church, Qala, on Sunday, the 16th of December 2012.

This ecumenical, socio-cultural event, ‘Gozo International Celebration – Christmas Edition 2012,’ is marking the theme for this year with, ‘God is Love.’

The celebration will take place between 6.30 and 8.30pm and is a welcoming occasion for all foreign nationals residing in, or visiting Gozo and all are warmly invited to attend.

The evening will include the participation of the University of Malta Junior College Orchestra, Magnificat Choir, Organist Noel Gallo, Tenor Joseph Buttigieg, Soprano Corinne Borg, Soprano Roxana Xuereb and Soprano Patricia Buttigieg, as well as local artist Victor Aguis.

The Horace Mercieca Award will be bestowed for the fifth time.

The evening will conclude with a reception at the Bishop Mikiel F. Buttigieg Hall, 28 April 1688 Street in Qala.

Entrance for the celebration is free, however donations for the expenses of the venue will be accepted.
