Have you ever dreamt of being an archaeologist? Was it ever your wish to participate in an excavation? Well now, with the assistance of Heritage Malta, you have the chance to do just that.

Participants will be shown how to excavate on a miniature archaeological site, going through the whole process from taking photos, to drawing plans, to extracting artefacts and remains, up to labeling and packing; all while taking careful and meticulous measurements.

Having done this, the budding archaeologists will then have to interpret the remains they uncovered and write an archaeological report.

In just a few words, Heritage Malta said, “get ready for an experience of discovery and excitement!”

This event is aimed at children aged between 10 and 14 years and it will take place at the Gozo Museum of Archaeology, The Citadel, Gozo, on Friday, the 4th of January 2013.

The mamimum number of participants is 20. The price is €5 each and Culture Card is accepted.

Booking required by emailing education@heritagemalta.org
