Earlier this month the Bicycle Response Unit of the Emergency Response and Rescue Corps attended a mountain bike course given by Mark James of MTB Instruction from the UK.

Mark James is a professional mountain bike instructor with more than 30 years of experience in the field.

During the course the volunteers did basic training in mountain bike handing and maintenance. This was followed by a series of practical sessions in Gozo which focused on how to descend steps on a mountain bike and mountain bike handling in rough terrain.
