Pro-Life Day will once again celebrated in Gozo, organised by Dar Guzeppa Debono, which offers various services and provides support to single mothers, fathers and their families, said that it is organising various interesting initiatives in order to spread ‘the culture of life’ among the various categories of Maltese society and will celebrate this Day with various activities because it believes entirely that “authentic youth exists and flourishes among those who do not close themselves in before life.” In fact, there are many youths who are doing voluntary work within this Gozitan entity.
In his Message for Life Day 2013, the Bishop of Gozo Mgr. Mario Grech said that “il-bniedem ma jistax japprezza d-don tal-hajja jekk ma jemminx f’Alla.” It is in this spirit that Dar Guzeppa Debono promotes the value of life from its beginning to the end in view of God’s plan for man.
To start of the weekend of activities there is a meeting for doctors on Friday evening starting at 8.30pm with the theme ‘Celebrating Life,’ on Friday 1 February, at 8.30pm, at Dar Guzeppa Debono.
A message by the Bishop of Gozo is also being distributed to Gozitan families.
Dar Guzeppa Debono has also organised an event aimed specifically at the younger generation as part of the activities of Pro- Life Day, with a Youth Meeting on Saturday, the 2nd of February at 3.00pm.
On Sunday the 3rd of February, at 8.30am, Bishop Grech will conduct Mass on the conclusion of the nine-month prayer for “spiritual adoption” made by the villagers of Ghajnsielem, where Dar Guzeppa Debono is based. This Mass will be broadcast on RTK.
Also on Sunday at 5.00pm, the Bishop will conduct another Mass in Ta ‘Pinu, which began for the first time last year, with the blessing of the baby in the womb of their mothers.
Dar Guzeppa Debono carrys out its pro-life work all year-round and also has many services and programmes, such as The Lwien Project, which is part-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and offers advice to young adolescent girls. It is also co-financed by the Maltese Government.
