At a ‘Malta for All’ political activity in Qala this evening the PL Leader, Dr Joseph Muscat said “it is no big deal if the Nationalist party publishes the accounts for the electoral campaign. The PL has been publishing its accounts every year. If the Prime Minister wants to be credible, he should publish all accounts from the time when he became Leader of the PN.”

Dr Muscat affirmed that the PL commitment towards accountability is clear and as it always does, the PL will publish all its accounts, as has been happening for years.

He said that today the PL has announced its plan for Gozo, “which has the ultimate objective of ensuring that all Gozitans, especially youths, find jobs in Gozo. The fact that the youths come to Malta to work will be only a choice and not a constraint.”

“The PL plan is aimed at providing space for the private sector to operate,” Joseph Muscat said. “We will be creating a special framework to ensure that Maltese and foreign investors are incentivised because we want them to invest here to generate jobs.”

“This is the workers’ movement, but also the movement of the employers,” claimed Joseph Muscat

“In order to be in favour of workers, you have to be in favour of employers. The time for wars and grudges between workers and employers is over. We are a pro-business movement because through business, jobs are generated which give humans their dignity, we collect taxes and thus we can have free health services and education,” stated Muscat.

He continued, “the Prime Minister can attack all he wants by saying that we are pro-business. We are in favour of those businesses who want to work and do not the wealth in this country to be absorbed by the few.”

Joseph Muscat said “that a few years ago the PN used to call businesses thieves. For this movement, businesses are not thieves, but essential partners to generate work for Maltese and Gozitan people.”
