31 BOV cardholders have who through BOV’s promotion linked to the Gozo 1234 weekend. These cardholders were refunded with the value of a particular transaction they paid for through their BOV Card in Gozo up to a maximum of €100.

This promotion also awarded cashbacks to 5 BOV merchant customers who were drawn amongst those who processed at least five card payments through the Bank’s EPOS terminals at their retail outlet in Gozo during the same weekend.

Congratulating the winners, Mr. John Pollacco, Head of Bank of Valletta’s Card Services Unit, highlighted how BOV cards are fast becoming one of the most popular methods of payment locally.

“The convenience provided by the wide selection of BOV cards is now becoming widely recognized by our customers. These cards are accepted by most retail and dining establishments, both locally and abroad, which makes them a most useful addition to everyone’s wallet,” said John Pollacco.

“Bank of Valletta is regularly seeking to add value to customers who pay with cards and to merchants who accept BOV cards,” he added. He said that merchants stand to benefit by accepting BOV cards through immediate authorization of each transaction, a reduction in cash handling and constant support from BOV’s Card Centre.
