The Minister for Gozo, Giovanna Debono, followed part of a video-conference training session which was organized by the Training Academy at the Courts of Justice in Malta and for which, for the first time, staff deployed at the Gozo Law Courts were invited to participate.

Specific procedures were explained in detail in order to establish uniform and common work practices. The session was conducted by Mr Aldo Testone, Director Civil Courts and Tribunals in Malta, while the Gozo Courts’ officers, led by Dr Mary Debono Borg, Director Gozo Courts and Tribunals, could participate and intervene in real time during the session.

The video-conferencing system at the Ministry for Gozo makes possible such training sessions without the need for participants to commute between the islands.
