Prime Minister reiterates guarantee of EU funds for Gozo

There was a warm welcome for the Prime Minister, Lawrence Gonzi this evening, when he arrived at a political activity held in Ghajnsielem. Also present at the meeting were the PN candidates who are contesting the election for Gozo
He spoke about yesterday’s positive news for Malta from the European Commission on the winter economic forecast. The Prime Minister said that Gozo will be allocated 10% of EU funds received by Malta.
The Minister for Gozo Giovanna Debono, spoke about the projects carried out across the island as well as the increase in employment. The Minister for Justice, Dialogue and the Family Chris Said, reiterated what the Prime Minister had said about the positive news from the EU on growth, as well as what the Goverment had achieved in creating jobs, which was also mentioned along with incentives for business by Frederick Azzopardi. Samuel Azzopardi spoke about the better education facilities now available. Kevin Cutajar talked about better opportunies for the disabled and Paul Buttigieg mentioned the number of jobs saved with PN.
