The Minister for Justice, Dialogue and the Family Dr Chris Said, today presented financial assistance to the Emergency Response Rescue Corps of Gozo.
The Emergency Response and Rescue Corps is the only Gozo based non-profit and voluntary organisation that works in the field of first aid and rescue on land and sea. The Corp said that it also “provides training to the Armed Forces of Malta, Police Force and other Government entities.”
The funds are aimed to strengthen the lifeguarding and first aid infrastructure of the Corps.
This money will be used to repair and refurbish water rescue equipment which will benefit many swimmers around Gozo and Comino this summer and possibly save lives
