The Constitutional Court has rejected the applications presented by the Nationalist Party requesting recounts on the thirteenth district (Gozo and Comino) as well as the eighth district.

Labour retains its majority in both districts, by 9 votes in the thirteenth district and by eight votes in the eighth district.

Thirteenth District elected candidates are for PL – Anton Refalo, Franco Mercieca and Justyne Caruana. For PN – Giovanna Debono and Chris Said.

Eighth district elected candidates are for PL – Chris Cardona, Edward Zammit Lewis and Edward Scicluna. For PN Beppe Fenech Adami and Tonio Fenech.

It is expected that the announcement of Ministers and swearing-in of the Cabinet will now go ahead as planned later this afternoon.
