This week’s articles in the PDF download are:

1. Freedom Day was celebrated on Sunday March the 31st, with a vocal and instrumental concert by the Police Band at It-Tokk Square, Victoria. The concert, under the direction of Mro Anthony Cassar, was attended by various personalities, including Gozo Minister Anton Refalo.

Before the concert, Gozo Bishop, H. E. Mgr. Mario Grech led a thanksgiving Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral.

2. A concert was held at the Capuchin’s church in Victoria by the Arco Ensemble, led by its founder violinist Jacob Portelli. Taking part were sopranos Rosabelle Pavia and Antonella Portelli, baritone Joseph Pace and singer Marie Josephine Grima .

A packed church listened to works by Corelli, Faure, Mozart, Handel and Pergolesi. Present also was the guardian of the Capuchin friars, Fr Karm Dimech and the Mayor of Victoria, Samuel Azzopardi.
