Today, Thursday, the 9th of May is ‘Europe Day’ and following on a well-established tradition, the European Commission Representation in Malta has joined forces to organise a series of activities aimed at bringing the EU institutions closer to the public, as well as celebrating our common European identity.

The city of Valletta is decorated with banners, flags and posters especially for the occasion, while the Valletta band will hold a concert at 5.30pm this evening in front of Law Courts.

This year the European Union’s 63rd birthday coincides with the European Year of Citizens 2013, which is dedicated to the rights that come with EU citizenship!
