The Annual School Sports Day was held this week at Gozo College, Xewkija Primary, in another example of collaboration between the school and the Xewkija Local Council.

The physical education teachers of the Gozo College, together with the school’s resident teachers, organised the pupils into various groups, with each group having the opportunity to play different types of games according to the station. One of which was a fruit station, where pupils were spoilt for choice with a wide selection of fresh fruit.

The Eco-School Committee’s main message for the Sports Day was to promote a healthy lifestyle by being active and eating more fruit and vegetables.
