Local NGOs recently held a meeting in Ghajnsielem, they included the Ghajnsielem Football Club, St Joseph Band, Ghaqda Drammatika Ghajnsielem, Snooker Association, Frangiskan Friars, Ghaqda tal-Armar, Football Accademy, the Boys Museum and Bethlehem f’Ghajnsielem,
The meeting was chaired by Mauro Pace Parascandolo, Executive Secretary at the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.
Mr Pace explained that the Mission Statement of the Council is to support the development of a more and effective and efficient voluntary and comunity sector in Malta and Gozo through the delivery of a range of support and capacity building services including informationa, advice, training and funds.
Representatives from the NGOs at the meeting had the opportunity to discuss with MrPace some of the problems that they encounter whenever they apply for funds. Mr Pace said that a six lectures course of 3 hours each are going to be orginised in Gozo for whoever is interested to attend.
The Local Council of Ghajnsielem organised this Meeting with the collaboration of the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.
