The Minister for Gozo Dr Anton Refalo recently paid an official visit to the Magro Food Village at Xewkija. Chairman, Mr John Magro together with Mr Michael Magro and Mr Christian Magro welcomed the Minister and his delegation.

They were taken around various sections of the Magro Food Village including the Savina Creativity centre, the dairy area of Farm Fresh and the factory plant of the Magro Brothers Foods, where the Minister had the opportunity to meet the Management and staff.The Minister for Gozo was informed that the company presently employs 135 and has a considerable number of commissioned services to local companies.

Dr Refalo praised the company for the Company’s initiative of using the skills of people from the Santa Marta Day Centre in Victoria who regularly help with the packing of products. He also thanked the Company for its work and commitment.

Mr John Magro announced that by 2014 the Company will be releasing a variety of new products on to the market.

During the cordial meeting also held at the Magro head office. Mr John Magro discussed with Minister Refalo plans for new investments in industry in Gozo.
