Earlier today, following a tip off, officers from MEPA’s Enforcement Directorate caught red handed, two trucks which were illegally dumping construction material into Wied Ta’Xhajma in Nadur, Gozo.
The officers immediately stopped these illegal works and informed the contravenor that enforcement action was going to be initiated.
The officers calculate that approximately 6 truck loads of illegal material had already been dumped prior to their arrival on site.
The Authority will ensure that the removal of this material, which was dumped close to the watercourse, will be removed following the approval of method statement.

Excellent ….well done MEPA. It is very sad that people presumably Gozitans or at least Maltese see fit to fly tip and spoil such a small fragile environment.
So which company do the trucks belong to? Considering the location I can make a guess.
1/ Throw the book at them.
2/ Let’s hope they will be ordered to return it to its original state and their trucks confiscated.
Hiding their names!!!! I gusee because they don’t want to make another shame to !!!!!!!!!!
