The Gaia Foundation and Sharklab are inviting the public to join them for a weekend of fun and interesting activities at Ramla Bay in Gozo.
Gazebos, with information signs,will be set up on the beach with lots of fascinating shark material including eggcases! There will be kids’ activities, fantastic fantastic boat trips and an opportunity for everyone to learn more about the beautiful Gozo coastline
Ramla l-Hamra is a protected Natura 2000 site and Blue Flag Beach. Its sand dunes are a rare feature in the Maltese Islands and a habitat for some rare plant species.
The Gaia Foundation is the site manager of Ramla. It teams up with Sharklab, an incredibly dynamic NGO that specialises in research on rays, skates and sharks. So come and learn more about Ramla and how to protect it on land and at sea!
So go along during the ‘Awareness Weekend’ and learn more about sharks, rays, skates and the management of this beautiful area.
The event is being held on Saturday, the 29th and Sunday, the 30th of June between 10.00am and 4.00pm on both days.
Walter . I wish that Gaia Foundation did a better JOB , cleaning the Rocks from Ramla Bay Beach ..All they need is WIRE SCREEN , and get all those Stones on ONE PILE ,and put them on the Side ,So the Children won’t get HURT ,While Playing . Its very SIMPLE > Thing to do . Gozitan from Xaghra .
