A 57-year old woman was yesterday arraigned at the Gozo Courts. Mary Xiberras from Xaghra, Gozo, was accused of having on the 17th July and the preceding days in Xaghra, harassed, insulted, threatened and caused a woman to fear the use of violence against her.

Ms Xiberras was also charged with having breached public order and peace, having a pointed instrument in her possession without the necessary permit and using a communications network to threaten the woman.

The accused appeared before Duty Magistrate Dr J Demicoli and pleaded not guilty to the charges against her, she was granted bail against a personal guarantee of € 3,000.
