Gozo choir, Chorus Urbanus, has been invited by H.E Dr George Abela, President of Malta, to give a concert at the Russian Chapel in San Anton Palace on Tuesday, the 24th of September.

The choir has performed a number of concerts in honour of Dr Abela’s predecessors, some of them at San Anton Palace, at Verdala Palace and at the President’s Palace in Valletta. This concert is the second one that is being performed in honour of H.E. Dr George Abela, the end of his tenure of the presidential office.

Chorus Urbanus said that it was first invited to perform a concert in honour of Dr George Abela barely one month into his tenure as President of Malta nearly five years ago.

The concert is being held in the recently refurbished Russian Chapel. The choir will be interpreting a number of Russian works from its repertoire, some religious and others of a more traditional stamp.
