Bishop of Gozo new President of the Episcopal Conference

The Curia has announced that during a meeting held this morning it was decided that Mgr Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo, will be the President of the Maltese Episcopal Conference for the next three years.
For the past six years, the President of the Episcopal Conference was Monsignor Paul Cremona OP, Archbishop of Malta.
The Episcopal Conference is the highest body of the Maltese Ecclesiastical Province (Malta and Gozo), and the members are:
Mons. Mario Grech, Bishop of Gozo (President)
Mons. O.P. Paul Cremona, Archbishop of Malta
Mons. Aldo Cavalli, Apostolic Nuncio
Mons. Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop of Malta
Mons. Joseph Mercieca, Archbishop Emeritus
Mons. Joe Magro (Secretary)
At this morning’s meeting it was also decided Our Lady of Victories will be celebrated on Sunday, the 8th of September, in all churches in Malta and Gozo.
