The Federation for Hunting & Conservation – Malta (FKNK) said in a statement today that yesterday evening it alerted the Police following the sighting of a flock of flamingos over Malta.

The FKNK said that it was “happy to note the immediate response of the ALE, with officers watching over the birds while they roosted last night.”

The FKNK said that it again “appeals to its members and general public to immediately report any illegalities that may be witnessed regarding protected wild bird species.

“These reports should be made directly to the Police on telephone numbers 112 or 21224001.”
