Labour Party approves its first candidates for EP elections

The Labour Party has approved its first group of candidates for next May’s European Parliament elections. The former Prime Minister Alfred Sant, as well as the former head of the Civil Protection Department Peter Cordina are among the candidates.
The other candidates are university lecturers Lino Bianco and Ivan Grixti, architect and Mayor of Qala Clint Camilleri, TV journalist Miriam Dalli and former Sliema councilor Cyrus Engerer.
The Labour Party said that a further group of candidates will be approved in the coming weeks.
