Mgr Charles J. Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop and Vicar General of Malta, leaves on Wednesday to lead a pilgrimage in Lourdes.

A group of 336 Maltese pilgrims will be attending this pilgrimage organised by the Assocjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes (AVL).

Each year, the Association assists sick persons to travel from Malta to visit the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin of Lourdes at the Grotto, where she appeared for the first time to Bernadette Soubirous on the 11th February 1858.

On Sunday, the 1st of September, at 8.30am, Bishop Scicluna will lead a concelebrated Mass in Maltese at the Grotto.
