Currently two Emergency Response and Rescue Corps volunteers of Gozo and an Armed Forces of Malta senior rescuer are undergoing a 15-day intensive course in water rescue swimmer and Search and Rescue, using latest SAR boats and helicopters as part of the continuous professional development training.

The training for the Malta Search and Rescue EU project has been co financed by the EU Leonardo mobility programme and the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue.

The latter will be signing a Memorandum of Unerstanding with the ERRC that will see cross border operations, training and exchange programmes in the future.
