Last Saturday, the quaint square in the eastern village of Qala, hosted a variant taste of entertainment from the early hours of the evening to the early hours of the morning.

The local voluntary and non-profitable feature film production, written and perfomed by young Gozitans, ‘Three Generations Down,’ which so vividly dressed the main city of Victoria three months ago in one of their more major filming scenes so far(since the start of production in the early months of 2013), hosted a public event, which the organisers said was “seemingly, much awaited upon, by locals and foreigners alike, who crowded the street around the square for this rarely seen (on our island) breed of artistic affairs.”The production introduced multiple artists who are actively composing music for this upcoming movie (including upcoming band Novel, and established producer Mark Magro), themselves providing part of the entertainment for the night, later on treating the audience to numbers from the soundtrack, and a feature exhibiting behind-the-scenes footage with short teasers from the action compiled so far on this growing project.

Many faces from the production were present throughout the night, greeting people and answering queries from the public. Among these were Director Amadeo Bezzina, and main actors Paul Cini and Julia Camilleri.
