The Department of Libraries within the Ministry for Gozo, is organising the first edition of ‘Book Fest 2013.’
On Friday morning between 9.00am and 1.00pm there will be a meeting in the Exhibition Hall of the Ministry for Gozo, on Library Services in Gozo, Performance, Problems and Suggested Improvement. The discussions is aimed at librarians and all those involved in any way with libraries in Gozo and is an invitation only event.
On Friday evening activities for the general public get underway, between 4.30pm and 8.30pm there will be exhibition of books and ex-library books will also be for sale in the Ministry for Gozo hall. Activities for children, including story telling will take place at the Gozo Central Public Library of Gozo and in St Francis Square there wil be an organised festival of food crafts and art.
The above events will continue on Saturday between 9.00am and 12.00pm and 4.30pm and 9.30pm and on Sunday 24 November between 9.00am and 12.00pm
The public is warmly invited to attend and enjoy the weekend’s activities for ‘Book Fest 2013,’ which is hoped will become an annual event.
Could you kindly indicate whether there are on display any specific books about Gozo and on anything Gozitan?
Where can I get a list of these books, if any, so that I’ll hop over to the sister Island to purchase those I don’t happen to have on my personal library shelves?
