Every two years the San Lawrenz Local Council creates a major event which attracts hundreds of people, the event, named 3D, is now in its third edition.

The first event was held in Dwejra and the second event was held in the main square of San Lawrenz. Now this year, on the 10th of September, another event will be held in the main village square, as MEPA has refused permission for the event to be held in Dwejra as was the original idea.

This years event will focus on volontariat and how folklore is part of the fabric of our life. Some of the most popular current groups, including In-Nafra and The Big Band Brothers, have been invited. These two groups need no further introduction and their participation will certainly further raise the level of this event.

On the occasion of this concert and the international conference on volontariat which is also being held, the Local Council is inviting a delegation from Italy and from France to participate in the European Project under ‘Europe for Citizens.’

This event will be held in colloboration with the European Union under the programme ‘Europe for Citizens,’ the Ministry for Gozo, the Parlamentary Secretariat for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local Councils and Public Consultation and the Malta Tourism Authority. As in previous years this event is expected to attract many Maltese and tourists over to Gozo.

On Saturday, the 10th of September, from 9pm onwards, the main square of San Lawrenz will be transformed into an open air theatre for with entertainment for everyone to enjoy. There will also be a variety of tradtional food to suit all tastes. Everyone is warmly invited to attend.
