A Country & Western spectacular warmed everyone up this afternoon with a programme of fun activities held at Ta’Lambert, Xewkija, organised by the Xewkija Local Council as part of the week of celebrations to mark ‘Jum ix-Xewkija.’

Hundreds of people turned up for this unique event in Gozo and those present described it as a “fantastic fun afternoon, with a great atmosphere, ensuring everybody had a good time.” There was ‘Western style’ food including suckling pig, beverages, homemade and foreign wines, there was children’s ‘Western Games’ and a photo stand, horse riding, dancing with the New Identity Line Dancers and Friends Line Dancers.Gozo Boys & Friends provided live country music, as well as Joanne Vella. Marlene brought the very popular afternoon’s entertainment to a close.
