The Gozo SPCA picked up this dog today and are appealing for help in tracing her owner – they said that she is chipped and the chip is registered, however there are no contact details on the chip database.
“The owner is a Philip Mercieca, and the little dog is called ‘Princess,’ so if you recognise the name of the owner and/or the dog, please contact us – she is at our Centre. If the owner doesn’t come forward she will be available for rehoming in 7 days.,” Gozo SPCA said.
Princess was registered in 2012 and is a young dog, a chihuahua x (possibly with some tal fenek in the colouring, eyes and paw shape, but not in size).
The Centre said that she isn’t used to being on the lead and is rather shy, but is fairly well house trained and has a lovely temperament.
If anybody has any information then please email info@spca-gozo.org.
Princess the chihuahua has been reclaimed by her owner. Thank you to the director of animal welfare Joseph John Vella for his assistance in finding the owners details
