The Gozo University Group said today that it would to like to commend the Gozo Ministry on its initiative to conduct a study on the introduction of a fast ferry service between Gozo and Malta.

Adding that a service such as this has long been needed by the numerous Gozitans who study or work in Malta, and have to travel to Gozo daily or weekly.

“The number of such commuters has increased significantly since the service was last offered, impacting its financial viability.”

GUG concluded that it “believes such a service would significantly affect their quality of life in a positive manner.”
