The Titular feast of Saint Paul being celebrated in Marsalforn, Gozo

The titular feast of the Shipwreck of Saint Paul in Marsalforn will be celebrated with a programme of activities between Thursday the 30th of January and Monday the 10th of February 2014.
The activities will be as follows:
Between Thursday 30th January and Saturday 1st February 2014: Days of spiritual preparation for the feast of Saint Paul.
5.00pm: Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.
6.00pm: Mass with homily.
Sunday 2nd February 2014: Liturgical Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
8.00am: Mass with homily by Rev. Fr. Joe Cini.
10.00am: Mass with homily by Rev. Rector Can Michael Borg and animated by the Cini Band.
11.00am: Mass with homily by Rev. Mgr Saviour Grima and animated by organist Mro. Carmel P. Grech.
5.00pm: Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.
6.00pm: Mass with homily led by Rev. Rector Can. Michael Borg during which there will the presentation of babies and infants to Saint Paul. The Liturgy will be animated by organist Mro. Ivan Attard.
The Rector of the Church, Rev. Canon Michael Borg, cordially invites everyone to attend these celebrations in honour of Saint Paul.
Monday 3rd February 2014: Fifth Day of Spiritual Preparation for the feast.
5.00pm: Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.
6.00pm: Mass with homily animated by organist Christine Zahra.
Tuesday 4th February 2014: Sixth Day of Spiritual Preparation for the feast.
4.15pm: The children who attend catechism lessons in Marsalforn will gather in the church to watch a film about the mission of our Patron Saint, Saint Paul.
5.00pm: Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.
6.00pm: Mass with homily.
Between Wednesday 5th and Friday 7th February 2014: Days of Solemn Triduum.
5.00pm: Solemn Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Adoration.
6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass with homily led by Rev. Canon Fr. Joe Zammit. The Liturgy during the Solemn Triduum will be animated by the Nativitas Choir led and accompanied on the organ by organist Mro. Ivan Attard.
Saturday 8th February 2014: Eve of the Solemn Feast.
5.15pm: Solemn Translation of the Relic of Saint Paul led by Rev. Archpriest Canon Reuben Micallef together with the clergy of Zebbug (Gozo) Parish Church along the main streets of Marsalforn. Afterwards, the Solemn First Vespers will be sung.
6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass with homily led by Rev. Archpriest Canon Reuben Micallef and animated by the Regina Angelorum Choir of Zebbug Parish.
Sunday 9th February 2014: Solemn Feast of Saint Paul, Patron Saint of Marsalforn.
8.00am: Mass with homily led by Rev. Fr. Joe Cini.
10.00am: Mass with homily led by Rev. Rector Canon Michael Borg and animated by the Cini Band.
11.00am: Solemn High Mass presided by H.L. Mgr Mario Grech, Diocesan Bishop, during which he delivers a message related to this feast. The Liturgy will be animated by the Stella Maris Choir and Orchestra directed by Mro. Carmel P. Grech.
From noon onwards, the Church in Malta celebrates the Solemnity of Saint Paul’s Shipwreck.
3.45pm: Festive band marches by the Victory Band of Xaghra and Santa Marija Band of Zebbug along the main streets of Marsalforn.
4.00pm: Solemn First Vespers presided by Rev. Fr. Joe Cini.
4.30pm: Solemn Procession with the titular statue of Saint Paul. The Victory Band of Xaghra salutes the statue of Saint Paul with the popular hymn ‘Lil San Pawl, Patrun ta’ Marsalforn’ composed by Mro. Ivan Attard. The two guest bands accompany the procession along the main streets of Marsalforn, playing religious band marches.
5.50pm: The procession returns back to the church. Singing of the Antiphon.
6.00pm: Solemn Concelebrated Mass led by Mgr Carmelo Refalo, Xaghra Archpriest. The Liturgy will be animated by an orchestra directed by Mro. Colin Attard.
Monday 10th February 2014: Solemnity of the Shipwreck of Saint Paul.
This is a HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION.
8.00am, 10.00am and 11.00am: Masses with homily.
5.00pm: Eucharistic Adoration in silence.
5.30pm: Recitation of the Holy Rosary and impartation of Eucharistic Benediction.
6.00pm: Solemn High Mass with homily. The Liturgy will be animated by the Stella Maris Choir and Orchestra directed by Mro. Carmel P. Grech.
The celebrations of the feast end with the solemn entry of the titular statue of Saint Paul back to its niche.
