‘The Travel to Gozo Valentine Weekend Special,’ proved to be another success story for Gozo Channel, The Ministry for Gozo said. “A record 46 120 people crossed over to Gozo, of these, 35,577 were passengers and there were 10,543 vehicles.

The statistics compiled by Gozo Channel also show that from 14-16 February, the ferries made154 trip to Gozo.

It is estimated that the Gozitan economy saw an increase of €750,00 on last year through this initiative, the Ministry for Gozo said.

The Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo thanked all those involved, including the staff of Gozo Channel, Gozo businesses, the Gozo Business Chamber, the Gozo Tourism Authority and the Bank of Valletta for their collaboration. The Minister also thanked all who chose to travel to Gozo for this weekend.
