Two female artists, Sue Nightingale and Rachel Galea have joined forces to present a high calibre exhibition of their recent works at the Culture Office Foyer, Banca Giuratale, Victoria. This exhibition baptised ‘Two of a Kind’ brings together two completely different scenarios.

Sue Nightingale’s paintings pays tribute to the horse, an animal which in Nightingale’s own words have loved and painted since she was seven, paintings that seem to have be finished with no effort at all, like a river flowing.

Visitors to the exhibition who view Sue’s paintings can sense the positive energy within himself. The horse, painted in her works represents splendid features of this most gorgeous animal.

On the other side of the coin, Rachel Galea, an artist in her own style, is presenting a new collection of expressive landscape paintings, featuring the local landscape with it’s wayside chapels, valleys and the mediterranean sea, the beautiful countryside with Gozitan villages in the background. Rachel’s works are a dialogue with the soul through her expressive landscapes.

The evening kicked off with an introduction by Mr Charles Hili, who on behalf of the Gozo Culture Section within the Ministry for Gozo welcomed the large crowd present for the exhibition’s inauguration officially opened by Gozo’s Minister, Dr Anton Refalo.

The exhibition is open to the public until the 9th of March, Monday-Friday, 8.00am-2.30pm, Saturdays 7.00am-12.00 noon and Sundays 9.00am-12.00 noon.
