A group of Local Council Representatives are currently in Brussels on an information visit organised by the European Commission Representation in Malta in collaboration with the Visitors’ Centre of the Directorate-General for Communication of the European Commission.

The two-day visit includes a series of presentations on a number of EU policies, such as the one in the photograph above, with Dr Joanna Drake, Director at the Directorate-General for Enterprise who addressed the participants on the competitiveness of SMEs.

The group will also be visiting the European Parliament and the Committee of the Regions and receive presentations on the role and function of these EU Institutions.
